Norfolk Churchers

I am delighted to announce the publication of my new book Norfolk Churches. It has kept me busy through lockdown and details 50 churches that I think are of particular note - not just those that you would expect to find. In fact I deliberately left out many well-known churches to give some little-known gems an airing! The book has 100 colour photographs.

It is available in all good local bookshops and direct from the publisher here: Churches of Norfolk - Amberley Publishing (amberley-books.com)

You may be interested to know that I have also written the Kent and Hampshire volumes for the same series, both of which will be published next year.

Hopefully things are settling down once again. Churches are re-opening and at this moment in time I am planning that my residential tour of Leicestershire Churches will go ahead as planned from 11th-14th October.

I`m just waiting for details on coach travel to be detailed by the Government. If you are booked on the tour I will be in touch later in the summer. I still have one double/twin if anyone is interested. Full details may be found on an earlier Blog posting.

Similarly, I am confident that my residential Somerset  Churches Tour will go ahead from 4th-7th April 2022. I will send out details and booking forms towards the end of the summer.

Regardless of restrictions ending, I am continuing with my ZOOM lectures, which have proved very popular. Coming up over the next few months are:

June 10th English Church Fonts; June 14th Exploring Oxfordshire Churches; June 15th Exploring Sussex Churches

July 5th Exploring Kent Churches, September 7th Wallpaintings in English Churches; September 14th Stained Glass in Nofolk Churches

September 15th Church Towers of England; October 5th Churches in Retirement; October 18th Exploring Essex Churches

October 19th Exploring Cotswold Churches; November 16th Exploring Suffolk Churches; December 2nd Round Towered Churches in East Anglia

To book just go to www.eventbrite.co.uk and search for my name. Remember, booking closes two days before the lecture! All lectures booking now. It is very easy to use. I do hope you will be able to join me.

Finally, this is just confirmation that I have regrettably had to give up my own programme of church day tours after 40 years!  However, I am still available to organise and lead day tours for your organisations including U3A, National Trust, The Arts Society and the like. Please do pass this information on to their event organisers. Thank you.

I am also continuing occasional public residential courses at Knuston Hall - Home , and Zoom lectures for Home - Denman College

My website contains a Calendar section which shows what I am doing and where. It's by far the most up to date record of my future work.

Wishing you all a very Happy Summer
